Description
Vaso a bottiglia con spalla espansa, stretto collo, piede appena pronunciato, è interamente decorato a monocromo rosso. In un paesaggio boscoso, Agar è raffigurata seduta sulla destra sotto un albero e Ismaele è sdraiato sotto un cespuglio sulla sinistra, mentre al centro un angelo giunge in volo in loro soccorso.

Di manifattura veneziana da identificare, da confrontare con i nn. inv. 187/VE, 189/VE, 188/VE.Per un semplare simile decorato a sanguigna conservato al Museo del Vetro di Murano, si veda C. Tonini, I lattimi veneziani smaltati del XVIII secolo e i rapporti iconografici con le incisioni, in Journal of Glass Studies, vol. 49, 2007, fig. 21.
Il soggetto è tratto da un'incisione atttribuita a Jean Valdor il giovane o a Claude Goyrand (da Herman van Swanevelt), pubblicata da Pierre Mariette I (1643-1670 circa).
