La pettorina chiudeva l’apertura anteriore delle sopravvesti nell’abbigliamento femminile del XVIII secolo. Ricco di decorazioni a ricamo, o fatte di nastri, pizzi o passamani, questo indumento era fissato all’abito con asole, oppure ganci o lacci.
