La calotta in tulle presenta un motivo decorativo floreale di forma quadrata. Ampia ala sagomata in tela e merletto plissettata, inamidatata e armata di spilli.

Il pezzo rientra nella categoria detta "Speldenmuts", nome originale olandese. Si diffusero in particolare nella parte sud-ovest della regione del Brabante settentrionale, al confine con il Belgio. Gli spilli erano funzionali al trattamento di inamidatura e restavano anche durante l'uso del pezzo.
