Description
Piatto in porcellana con ornamentazione policroma: al centro, una farfalla in volo; nel cavetto e sulla tesa, un motivo a cerchi violacei rincorrentisi, con foglie e piccoli frutti rossi; filettature e fiorellini in oro.
Historical-Criticism news
Il decoro della farfalla compare in diversi piatti della manifattura Cozzi conservati in collezioni pubbliche e private, probabilmente parte di un unico servizio. Il motivo riecheggia, con notevole libertà, decori con insetti utilizzati a Meissen, a Vienna e nella stessa Venezia (Vezzi), ispirati a incisioni entomologiche seicentesche.
