Ritratto a mezzo busto di Giovanni Battista Lulli con ampia camicia aperta sul petto e mossa acconciatura a boccoli.
Historical-Criticism news
Il ritratto è un calco del busto di Lulli in bronzo facente parte della tomba del compositore in Notre-Dame-des-Victoires a Parigi. L' opera, già variamente attribuita a Cotton o a Coysevox, è da ritenersi lavoro del malnoto Gaspard o Jean Collignon (cfr. F. Souchal, French Sculptors of the 17th and 18th centuries, Oxford 1977, vol. I, pp. 108,111). Cfr. scheda 3508/C.
