Scatola ottagonale con bombatura nella parte inferiore e cerniera su di un lato. L'intera superficie del pezzo è decorata a girali vegetali in rilievo.

Per la datazione della scatola si rimanda al testo di H. R. D'Allemagne, Ferronnerie ancienne, Paris 1924, in particolare alla serie di riproduzioni di drageoirs in metallo, con esempi prossimi al nostro (cfr. due pezzi ottagonali, con analoga decorazione a girali in rilievo, alle tavole CCLV-LVI del tomo II, datati tra Sei e Settecento).
