Nel Settecento fiori ricamati invasero il guardaroba sia maschile sia femminile, spesso ispirandosi al gusto orientale. In ambito domestico, i gentiluomini indossavano capi preziosi e comodi e copricapo a zuccotto, a barchetta o a turbante.
