Il frammento ha le dimensioni di una federa per neonato ed è decorato da file parallele e sfalsate di margherite e di un motivo sottile a virgola, ripetuto sempre nella stessa posizione.

Il lavoro a punto catenella a macchina era indifferentemente eseguito su fondi di tulle meccanico, su mussola o su garza, con la macchina Cornely in Francia o, in altri centri europei quali la Sassonia, con le chain stitching machines (P. Earnshaw, vol. II, pp. 127-228). I disegni, come in questo caso, sono di dimensioni ridotte e molto semplificate ed indicano una produzione ampiamente circolante in Europa per la biancheria personale ed infantile poi confezionata nei laboratori locali.
