Description
Piatto abborchiato in maiolica con decorazione in bianco, azzurro, verde, giallo, celeste e marron. La parte a rilievo del bordo riproducente guerrieri in lotta e decorazione con foglie d'acanto. Il tondino centrale è decorato con motivi di foglie, fiori e drappeggi e, nel piccolo riquadro centrale è riprodotto un minuto paesaggio con castello e montagne. Sul retro, in azzurro su fondo celeste, cinque gruppi di decorazioni fogliari eseguiti a grandi pennellate blu.
Historical-Criticism news
Un piatto simile è conservato a Pavia, Museo Civico, e attribuito ad una manifattura di Angarano, ca. 1735 (cfr. Saul Levy, Le maioliche venete del XVIII secolo, Novara 1980, tav. 265).
