Description
Piattino abbinato alla tazza 2265/C-1, ma originariamente non pertinente. Ornamentazione esterna a rilievo (figure cinesi). All'interno, in policromia, è dipinta la scena del ratto di Proserpina. Il bordo è filettato in oro.
Historical-Criticism news
Il piattino fu abbinato alla tazza del servizio per Benedetto XIII (inc. 2265/C-1) in un momento imprecisato, probabilmente intorno al 1770. Tazza e piattino furono dipinti con scene policrome (putti, il Ratto di Proserpina e festoni con teste di ariete sui bordi, alternati ad anfore e patere) e ornati in oro, la tazza, anche per mascherare l'orlo sbeccato, fu rifestita d'argento dorato. Stilisticamente, sembra di poter attribuire la pittura alla fabbrica Cozzi di Venezia.
