Miniatura dipinta raffigurante un uomo con capelli incipriati lisciati all'indietro, veste una redingote nera e una cravatta bianca, sfondo di cielo. Cornice in oro. Tergo in vetro blu.

Engleheart era figlio di uno scultore tedesco, studiò dal 1769 alla royal Academy e nello studio di Reynolds, del quale riprodusse in miniatura alcune opere. espose alla Royal Accademy dal 1773 al 1822 e lavorò soprattutto a Londra.
