Description
Vetratina circolare raffigurante il supplizio di San Sebastiano, inquadrata da sei lastrine rettangolari e due quadratedecorate a candelabrine, rosoni e cornucopie.
Historical-Criticism news
Al momento d'ingresso al museo (1933) la vetrata era decorata da un medaglione a foglie di quercia (cfr. V. Viale, i musei civici nel 1932, in "Torino", Settembre 1933, fig. 40 ). Successivamente il medaglione è stato montato intorno al tondello raffigurante San Rocco ( scheda 211/VD). Cfr.214/VD. L’attribuzione di Vittorio Viale ad atelier lionese (1933, pp.16-18) non è condivisa da Mallè che individua l’influenza della cultura figurativa della Svizzera tedesca, forse rielaborata da un atelier del Piemonte orientale (1971, p. 272).
