Calcedonio onice nero, tagliato piano parallelo a sezione troncoconica, di forma ovale, intagliato a tecnica mista: abbozzo generale a trapano a punta sferica, mentre zampe e partizioni del dorso sono eseguiti a mano libera con una punta fine. Lucidatura finale. Il soggetto raffigurato è uno scarabeo di piccole dimensioni, dal corpo tondeggiante con sottile partizione verticale sul dorso; sei sottili zampette sono aperte ai lati corpo. Esecuzione naturalistica e abbastanza curata.
