Description
Anello a forma di serpente che si avvolge in un solo giro. Fitta quadrettatura incisa in prossimità della testa e nella parte finale della coda. La testa del serpente è lavorata a cesello.

Per notizie storico - critiche e bibliografia vedi scheda 0034/ORI. Tra gli ori Gualino pervenuti al Museo Civico d'Arte Antica sono conservati altri due anelli a forma di serpente (cfr. schede 0044, 0046/ORI). Problematica una datazione sufficientemente precisa per i tre esemplari, poiché anelli appartenenti a tale tipologia, estremamente diffusi in età ellenistica, si ritrovano anche in epoca romana (R. A. HIGGINS, "Greek and Roman Jewellery", Londra 1961, p. 175, tav. 53 B). L'intero nucleo di ori Gualino è stato genericamente datato da Viale al III - II secolo a. C. e da Anna Serena Fava al IV- III secolo a. C. (cfr. scheda 0032/ORI).
