Strumento musicale da accompagnamento a forma di cestello a intreccio. Manico arcuato. Fondo ricavato da una zucca, di forma ellittica. All'interno sono contenuti piccoli semi, o sassolini, destinati a urtarsi reciprocamente e contro le pareti del contenitore.
Il bene appartiene al corpus di 185 oggetti donati al Museo da Tiziano Veggia (1893-1957). Veggia lavorò come ingegnere nel Congo Belga per la Compagnie du Chemin de Fer Bas Congo-Katanga (1919-1936) e per l’Otraco (1936-1951), affiancando alla sua attività lavorativa la pratica del collezionismo. Nel maggio 1955 donò la sua collezione al Museo Civico di Torino
