Per la fattura pesante, le spesse barrette, l'incoerenza e l’illegibilità del disegno, il grosso bordo di attaccatura a fuselli in cotone (sicuramente ottocentesco), il merletto sembra un forte rimaneggiamento o una copia ottocentesca dei modelli antichi del tipo “punto di Venezia piatto”.
