Description
Vaso da vino ("Porron") con piede tronco conico, nodo con applicazioni in vetro celeste, corpo globulare con nastrini, versatoio e presa dell'aria pure in vetro celeste. Il alto il manico in vetro bianco con decorazioni attorcigliate celesti.
Historical-Criticism news
Il calice proviene dalle collezioni dell'imprenditore e industriale Riccardo Gualino raccolte nel castello di Cereseto; in seguito al fallimento di Gualino, le opere d'arte e le suppellettili furono in gran parte confiscate dalla Banca d'Italia. Esso fu venduto al Museo dall'antiquario Pietro Accorsi nel 1933, insieme con altri 31 vetri di Murano che non risultano dagli elenchi della liquidazione, ma la cui provenienza da Cereseto si può desumere dalle fotografie d’epoca. Precedentemente apparteneva alla collezione Sangiorgi di Roma.
