Gruppo in porcellana bianca raffigurante due guerrieri a piedi di un divinità mitologica, su basamento ottagonale, decorato con festoni a rilievo. (Venere appare ad Enea ed Acate)
Historical-Criticism news
Cfr. scheda 2636/C. Il gruppo raffigura Venere che appare Enea ed Acate. Tali soggetti, tratti da Virgilio, sono adottati nel periodo di collaborazione tra Girolamo Franchini e Jean Pierre Varion, probabile è una datazione intorno al 1780. Al Victoria and Albert Museum di Londra è conservato un gruppo identico (A. Lane 1953, pp. 162-166) modellato da Pierre Varion, 1781-1785.
